I am joining Reisman Carolla Gran LLP as Of Counsel on July 1, 2017. Since 2008, I have been representing people with disabilities with respect to legal problems under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) including such matters as testing accommodations, professional licensing, special education, and the right to live in a non-institutional community setting. I am also a member of New Jersey Special Education Practitioners. As an elected member of the Board of Education in my home community from 1996 to 2008, I was also Chair of several committees that covered the Board's responsibility for students receiving special education services. I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. in Political Science, 1969) and Yale Law School (J.D., 1972), and before 2009, I was a litigation partner with two Philadelphia law firms for a total of more than 35 years, representing plaintiffs and defendants in class action, securities and other complex commercial litigation. I am also a member of the American Arbitration Association roster of arbitrators.
