Personal Bio: 

As a disability rights attorney, Cat Cabalo has successfully litigated and resolved cases against Marriott International Inc., Hilton Worldwide, Starbucks, Bank of America, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Target, Sports Authority, Barnes and Noble, ACE Hardware, and other large corporations. She also accomplished making several large college campuses, including Diablo Valley College and Cañada College, accessible to students with mobility disabilities.  She was named a Rising Star by Washington Law and Politics Magazine in 2009, and has been named a Rising Star since 2011 by Northern California Super Lawyers.Cat graduated, cum laude, from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington with Phi Beta Kappa honors.  She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and was named a member of the Order of Barristers upon graduation for her Moot Court oral advocacy skills.  While at the University of Washington School of Law, she co-founded the Charles Z. Smith Public Interest Award. Upon graduating from law school, Cat had the honor of clerking for Justice Mario R. Ramil of the Hawaii Supreme Court.In addition to her active participation in several national and local bar associations, such as serving on the Board of the Alameda Contra Costa County Trial Lawyers Association, Cat enjoys philanthropic work.  She actively fundraises and volunteers for the SF-Marin Food Bank, Bay Area Urban Debate League, and the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund.  She is also an avid cyclist and participates every year in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 7-day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
